What is an adult family home?
An adult family home is a licensed residential home caring for up to six residents. Care happens in an ordinary house rather than a facility, so residents get far more individual attention than in a large assisted living community. Abba Care is licensed by Washington State, licence #754729.
How much does an adult family home cost in Kent, WA?
Monthly cost depends on the level of care each resident needs. Abba Care assesses this in person before any commitment so families know the exact figure up front. Call (206) 474-8448 to discuss rates.
Does Abba Care accept residents with dementia?
Yes. Dementia care is one of Abba Care’s two licensed specialties, alongside mental-health care. The home is set up for it: calm routines, familiar faces, a live-in provider, and a secure, home-scale setting.
How many residents live at Abba Care?
Six. That is the maximum an adult family home is licensed for in Washington, and it is the reason care here is personal rather than scheduled.
Is the home wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There is a step-free railed ramp to the front door, a curbless roll-in shower with full-length grab bars and a rolling shower chair, fold-down support rails on both sides of the toilet, and wheelchair and walker accessible living space throughout.
Can I visit or tour the home before deciding?
Yes. Tours are available by appointment, seven days a week. Call (206) 474-8448 or send a message through the website to arrange one.
Does Abba Care have any openings?
Availability changes. As of the most recent update there is a bed available. Call (206) 474-8448 for current openings.
